3rd Annual EMPTY BOWLS is coming back to Cleveland, MS
The state of Mississippi is one of the most food insecure states in America, with 1 in 5 Mississippians unsure if they can afford their next meal. In the Delta, 21% of households are food insecure, which is double the nationwide rate of 10.5%. These food insecure homes in the Delta lack the ability to obtain nutritious and adequate food for a healthy life.
Our 3rd annual EMPTY BOWLS fundraiser will be held at the Delta Arts Alliance in Cleveland, Mississippi, on Friday, October 15 from 10:30am to 1:00pm. Purchase your ticket today to come inside and select a beautiful Mississippi crafted bowl, made by local artists and Delta State students, on October 15. Your $30 donation purchases your bowl and allows you to enjoy a hot lunch from served by several of your favorite local Delta restaurants. All proceeds will allow Extra Table to continue sending new and healthy food to Delta food pantries and soup kitchens — share lunch with a friend in order to provide a meal to a neighbor in need.
