HUB CITY PLAYERS, EXTRA TABLE BRING NEW ROCKIN’ SHOW TO TOWN FOR HOLIDAY SEASSON

This holiday season, Hattiesburg will have a new way to get into the giving, holiday spirit for a worthy cause. On December 10th, Hub City Players and Extra Table will present the first ever ‘Rockin’ Christmas’ musical show! The concert will feature favorite holiday songs and dances, appropriate for families and children of all ages.

Hub City Players formed in 2012 by Mike Lopinto, will bring their shop-stopping singer, dancers, performers and musicians to the Saenger Theater stage, to get the holiday season started. The troupe, which now has a cult-like following that has come to expect exceptional performances, most recently presented hit show Rock of Ages to Hattiesburg during Festival South in Summer 2016.

“Rockin’ Christmas is The Hub City Players gift to the city and our special friends at Extra Table,” said Lopinto. “We hope this really fun evening of holiday cheer will help scores of people across our area have a merrier Christmas with basic essentials. So please come enjoy and help us help the community we love!”.

Rockin’ Christmas will include one show on Saturday December 10. 100% of proceeds from the show will be donated to Extra Table. Started in Hattiesburg, MS by Chef and Restaurateur Robert St. John, Extra Table is a non-profit organization that has designed a revolutionary system to get new, healthy, shelf-stable food to soup kitchens and food pantries on a monthly basis. Through a unique partnership with Sysco Food Distributors, Extra Table is now delivering food statewide to over 20 counties and feeding agencies. Proceeds from the November 10 concert will be used to send food to Tupelo and surrounding area food pantries and soup kitchens.
