This year, Extra Table is making a delicious and practical switch for Thanksgiving. Instead of distributing turkeys to food pantries, we are opting for chickens.
For every turkey distributed in past years, now THREE WHOLE CHICKENS will be provided. These whole chickens are Mississippi-grown gems, making them a fantastic addition to holiday feasts.

Why the change? Chickens come with some incredible advantages. They’re easier to store and distribute, everyone knows how to cook a chicken, they are super nutritious and juicy, and the price is better when comparing pound per pound making your donations go even further to help those in need.
In 2022, Extra Table distributed 3000 turkeys – a generous feat that fed thousands of families.
