Extra Table is celebrating 11 years of feeding our hungry neighbors here in Mississippi. Join us on Friday, October 30, 2020. Drop by the Delta Arts Alliance 104 S Court St. in Cleveland, Mississippi from 10:30 am to 1 pm. This year will be a drive-thru event due to community safety guidelines for COVID 19.
Each ticket holder with receive a beautiful, one-of-a-kind handcrafted bowl made by local artists and Delta State University students as a reminder of the hungry people in our community whose bowls are empty. Your purchase of a bowl and support of this event will put food in the Delta pantries that Extra Table so proudly supports: Caring Hands-Itta Bena, Clarksdale Care Station-Clarksdale, Hearty Helpings Food Pantry-Greenville, Helping Hands-Belzoni, Helping Hands-Cleveland, Robert Neil Food Pantry-Charleston, St. Vincent De Paul-Greenville, and Tutwiler Community Education Center-Tutwiler. A new addition to our Delta pantries is The Statesman Shelf, Delta State’s food pantry that opened in August 2019.
In exchange for a $25 donation, patrons receive a delicious meal of soup, bread, tea and dessert. Consider being a sponsor; see attached information. The sponsorship deadline is October 16, 2020.
